Legionella Risk Assessments

Comprehensive Legionella Risk Assessments by Morgan Environmental

Our Legionella Risk Assessments at Morgan Environmental are thorough and compliant, focusing on identifying and evaluating all potential Legionella risks in your water supply. Failing to adhere to Health and Safety guidelines by not conducting a Legionella Risk Assessment for your water services can expose you to litigation and potential prosecution.

Legal Requirements

According to the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, employers or those responsible for premises must perform a Legionella Risk Assessment in compliance with HSE ACoP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines.

Assessment Process

A City & Guilds qualified Legionella risk assessor from Morgan Environmental will visit your property to conduct a detailed survey, which includes:

  • Tracing all pipework configurations and water sources
  • Identifying and inspecting all site assets
  • Measuring water temperatures across the entire site
  • Checking system materials for WRAS compliance (latest water fitting regulations)
  • Recommending control schemes based on identified risks
  • Photographing all site assets and risk areas
  • Creating a detailed schematic identifying each asset, including risk areas

Regular Reviews

The Risk Assessment must be regularly reviewed, especially when there are indications that its validity has expired. The review schedule and considerations should be documented.
